So how many of you were bought into the "come try the gym with me" line and worked out for a night and then got attached to a yearly gym membership?
And yes I love nothing more than to talk about working out and eating healthy...kidding. You know me. I love my carbs and I was born with a full set of sweet teethe.
But since I dropped the 30 pounds the past year and went from a size 14 to a size 6, I wanted to continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle...while also running into the occasional hot guy! (Duh)
When I first started to lose weight I went swimming five days a week and ten laps a day for two months. Then I did cardio aka walking and listening to music...everyday for thirty minutes. That's my secret.
I didn't do a crash diet or some dance class...which now I will because I love some samba, but that's beside the point.
I chose a lifestyle to work around me and what I felt comfortable with.
The gym is a fun atmosphere and you begin to see the different personalities that are all their for healthy pursuits. You have the girl who's terrified to be seen in public working out so she doesn't look at anyone, you have the single dad who brigs his kid to day care so he can work out, you see the girl who everyone knows her name because she's a regular, then you have the group classes where everyone is there to have fun and make a total embarrassment of themselves...while also getting ridiculously toned.
When you're ready, I would definitely recommend going to the gym. It's fun and you never know who you will meet...and what you'll look like in a year!
Btw, I'm the girl who immediately craves cheesecake as soon as she walks in the gym. ;)
