No matter at what age you are in life, we have all gone through successes and failures...personally and professionally. So how do you deal with both outcomes?
Being in my late 20s, and at the moment feeling like an 80 year old who experienced a lot in such a short time, I have come to realize that life only hands you what you can honestly deal with. Whether losing a job, ending a relationship or celebrating those really great moments of happiness. Things always and truly happen for a reason.
I have sat in so many meetings asking for advice and getting feedback on my career, personal struggles and learning about life experiences which helped me find that a lot of opportunities you go after that do not work out, are only because you really have to create them for yourself. Just like you would have to create your own happiness.
Regroup and take time for yourself to just think things through before you become a stressed out mess! If you lose your job, find what you always wanted to do and go after it. Like if you always wanted to be a writer, start writing your story. If you always wanted to run your own restaurant, begin with cooking in your kitchen. If you always wanted to be an actress, film a YouTube video of yourself ugly crying and see how many hits you will get. Come up with something and see where it takes you!
I remember when a certain someone started to honestly fall a part because everything in her life came crashing down. Personally and professionally, everything she had planned was not going as she expected. So months later, she decided to just not care anymore. Not in a careless-giving up-kind of way, but more in a way like things weren't really getting worse, things were only eventually on its way to getting better.
It will take sometime...for some, days and for others, years until you find that moment where things that happened end up making sense.
You just have to start somewhere.
